¡HOLA, NICE TO MEET YOU!

I'm Valentina Pulla

I’m an Ecuadorian-American, first-generation professional working at the intersection of data, strategy, and creativity, where insights turn into action and ideas actually perform.

My experience spans agency, nonprofit, and innovation ecosystems, across industries including tech, finance, education, retail, telecommunications, and influencer marketing. I’ve worked across cultures, markets, and audiences, which means I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all communication. I bring a global perspective to every project, building strategies that adapt across platforms, industries, and people.

I’m a multipotentialite. Some people wear multiple hats, I wear multiple shoes. I move fluidly between strategy, content, analytics, and execution, designing campaigns and brand moments that are intentional, measurable, and grounded in real audience insights.

Based in Chicago and bilingual in English and Spanish, I thrive in fast-moving environments where clarity, adaptability, and data matter. I’m passionate about using communication as a tool for connection and impact, whether that’s shaping brand narratives, leading campaigns, or building systems that make ideas scalable.

At my core, I’m both strategic and creative, detail-oriented and big-picture driven. I find inspiration in the small things, but I’m always thinking about how they connect to something bigger.

If you’re into strategies that are thoughtful, creative, and backed by real insight, let’s connect 🚀

MY EXPERIENCE

Communications Manager, Strategies & Analytics

At the Illinois Science & Technology Coalition, I work at the intersection of strategy, data, and storytelling to drive engagement across statewide programs. I’ve led integrated marketing campaigns for digital and in-person events, rebranding program voice and refining messaging to better connect with target audiences. Through this, I contributed to a 137% increase in registrations and consistently high attendance rates by aligning campaign strategy with audience behavior and insights.

Beyond campaigns, I translate marketing and event performance into clear, actionable narratives for leadership, helping guide decision-making and strengthen cross-team alignment. My role also focuses on building systems that make communication more intentional, measurable, and scalable across the organization.

SOCIAL MEDIA & OUTREACH COORDINATOR

At Chicago HOPES for Kids, I combined communications, events, and partnership strategy to expand the organization’s reach and impact. I supported large-scale community and fundraising events, helping drive over 300 attendees and contributing to a 122% increase in fundraising through coordinated outreach, materials development, and post-event evaluation.

At the same time, I identified gaps in outreach and built a resource-mapping database of 70+ potential partners, enabling more intentional and scalable engagement across the city. My work also included developing structured communication strategies and systems that strengthened how the organization connected with its audience and stakeholders.

YOUNG TALENT CONSULTANT IN COMMUNICATIONS & PUBLIC AFFAIRS

At LLYC, I worked in a fast-paced agency environment supporting global clients across industries including finance, retail, and consumer goods. I managed media and influencer outreach by maintaining databases of over 200 media contacts and 300 influencers, helping expand campaign reach and strengthen brand visibility.

I also contributed to high-impact PR campaigns, including the adidas Originals store opening, where I supported strategy, media engagement, and stakeholder coordination to maximize exposure and audience engagement. Across projects, I developed communication materials, coverage reports, and digital strategies, gaining hands-on experience in integrated campaigns and client-facing communications.

Digital Communications & PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERN

At HIAS Ecuador, I focused on storytelling and campaign development to amplify social impact initiatives. I managed social media platforms, creating content that aligned with organizational messaging and engaged diverse audiences.

I led communication campaigns and visual identity development for initiatives like World Refugee Day, grounding design and messaging in historical context, audience insights, and program goals. I also developed the communication strategy for the UN Women-supported “Caminando” project, coordinating video production and digital content to bring visibility to the initiative’s impact, while supporting event coverage and on-the-ground storytelling.

VISUAL COMMUNICATION & INTERNAL ENGAGEMENT INTERN

At Netlife, I worked on internal communications and brand development, helping shape how the organization connected with its employees. I contributed to the rebranding of the internal identity “NetYou,” producing communication materials and supporting content across internal channels.

I also helped launch new communication initiatives, including an internal podcast, and developed newsletters and the company’s first annual magazine, contributing to a 30% increase in employee engagement. My work extended to internal events, where I supported communication and coordination efforts to strengthen team culture and alignment.

CONTENT CREATOR: PHOTOGRAPHER & GRAPHIC DESIGNER

As a freelance content creator, I collaborated with local businesses to elevate their visual identity and brand presence. I produced product and culinary photography while developing cohesive brand systems, including logos, color palettes, and typography.

Through this work, I helped clients strengthen their storytelling and create consistent, engaging visuals across digital and promotional platforms, blending creativity with a strategic understanding of audience and brand positioning.
